Koh Rong Samloem is one of the most beautiful islands of Cambodia. It is a peaceful relaxing destination with breathtaking scenery – Pristine white beaches, clear turquoise ocean waters, and a tropical jungle wilderness. A real ‘island paradise’ – As it is often called by tourists.

Sun Island Eco Village was one of the first resorts on Koh Rong Samloem. It’s located near the centre of the main tourist beach, Saracen Bay. This beach is perfect for people who want to enjoy the spectacular views in a quiet relaxed environment. Our review team has visited this resort and rate it 3 / 5 – It is an OK place to stay if you are on a budget but want to see the beautiful beach at Saracen Bay. In peak season, demand for all resorts is high, so please book your resort early if you are interested.

Sun Island Eco Village is a budget-friendly resort. It is a 5 minute walk from the main piers, heading left as you come off the boat. The resort provides both bungalows and tents. The rooms in the bungalows are of an OK standard. There is no Air-Conditioning, but each room comes with a fan. Mosquito nets, towels, and linen are also provided. Some bungalows come with private bathrooms, while others only have a shared toilet and shower. The tents are a cheaper alternative to the bungalows. Though they are spacious and clean, they are not in prime condition. There is currently no Wi-Fi at the resort, but if you are in desperate need, Orchid Resort and The Beach are a 5 minute walk away.
